Annual General Meeting 2022
18th November 2021
With the kind permission of the Constable and Governor of Windsor Castle, the annual general meeting will be held at Windsor Castle on Saturday 23rd April 2022. The meeting will commence at 1030 hours in the Rampart Rooms at Middle Ward.
Admiral Sir James and Lady Perowne have also invited members and their wives/partners attending the AGM to join them for refreshments in their residence in Norman Tower from 0930. We are as yet unclear on the maximum numbers that he will be allowed to host but we will follow the Governments Covid advice at the time. All members are welcome to attend and participate in the meeting in order to help shape the future of the League; please come along and support your committee. Wives or partners may attend the early morning refreshments at the Governors house but their attendance may be constrained by social distancing rules, wait out but please include their names at this point.
The agenda will be distributed in the New Year. Should you wish to attend, it is essential for security reasons that you give notice to the Secretary of your attendance. Entry in Royal Palaces requires you to provide your full names, date and place of birth, name at birth if different and UK Address. We are also advised that on the day, members will need to bring photo ID and a utility bill with their address on it. Please submit your name to our Secretary (Mrs Sally McBean) if you are planning to attend and then we can tie down the security access plan. For those who submit their names to attend, Sally will send each of you a detailed instruction with maps and photos etc of where exactly to report on the day.
Despite these minor but irksome restrictions, please make an effort to meet up for the AGM. We are also unclear whether we will be able to book a room for a post AGM lunch in one of Windsors hotels and will keep you informed as plans develop.
