CENOTAPH PARADE 2024

On Sunday 10 November 2024, the National Service of Remembrance will be held at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, London. Remembrance is a time to acknowledge the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces and their families, across all conflicts and those gallantry medallists no longer able to march with us.
The RBL have confirmed that our contingent is allocated 42 tickets and we intend once again to have a full marching contingent on parade. Tickets will be allocated in order of priority as defined in the Constitution, ie Life, Honorary and then Associate Members. We will also consider those who are attending for the first time in an attempt to ensure that everyone has a chance of participating in this memorable event. The deadline for applications is 15 August 2024 and members wishing to parade with the League this year are to pass their names to the Secretary at secretary@gm-league.com by 12 August to allow Sally to check each application before the RBL deadline.
As has become common custom, members and their families and guests are invited to lunch together at the RAF Club in Pall Mall. Full details will be provided by the Secretary once the ticket allocation has been made at the end of August.
Note that it is a condition of the RBL that those attending have to supply certain personal details for security purposes; this includes full names, post nominals, full address, and place and date of birth.
New for 2024 – The RBL have added a new requirement in that those attending have to provide details of their Next of Kin details, where possible, as follows:
Name of Next of Kin
Relationship
Telephone number for that day
email address if applicable
Members are to note that the RBL will hold this data for security purposes in accordance with their privacy policy which can be found on their website.
